I made these images at a time when I was thinking a lot about our image-saturated culture. They were later selected for a group exhibition at CSULB called Breakdown.

I made this video a year ago for my senior show at CSULB. It’s called “The Hill.” It was projected at a large scale on the back wall of the smallest gallery. Upon entering, the viewers found themselves immersed by the sound.
This is a performance/video piece I made a few years ago called “It Never Really Goes Away.”
I was going to wait to make a tidier version of this video–which I actually attempted (and failed)–but this blog is as much about process as it is outcome.
I was in pain by the end.
This video is called “Endurance.”

I just realized I never actually put up the final edit of my museum project. For anyone interested, this is what I got into the bachelor of fine arts program at Cal State Long Beach with (I have copies of these files with much better color balance somewhere, but for now…)

A departure from my usual work, but I’ve very recently become fascinated with the databending phenomenon. I think this fascination has something to do with how cryptic and unpredictable it is and how many different possibilities it presents.
